Still at home

-

sir – I have just renewed my house and contents policy. One question asked if the home was used for business purposes. An untruthful answer would apparently vitiate the cover.

Does this apply to people working from home? Will their cover be vitiated or should they inform their insurer and pay a revised premium? And, by a similar token, why does working from home not attract business rates? Graham Saunders
