Man admits stalking Loose Women star
Denise Welch, the Loose Women panellist, has said she is “relieved” after a man pleaded guilty to a “terrifying” stalking campaign.
Toraq Wyngard, 53, from Salford, admitted stalking between September last year and February, ahead of a trial at Chester Crown Court yesterday. He also admitted possession of a knife, criminal damage and arson, after setting fire to a skip in the driveway of the Cheshire home Welch, 63, shares with Lincoln Townley, her husband.
In a statement, Welch said she was relieved, adding: “This has been an incredibly terrifying and stressful time for me and our family.”
He will be sentenced on Oct 26.
