Reeves promises £28bn a year on green economy

An extra £28 billion a year would be spent on helping Britain tackle the climate change crisis under a Labour government, the shadow chancellor, Rachel Reeves, has pledged. “I will be a responsible chancellor. I will be Britain’s first green chancellor,” she said at the party conference yesterday.
