The couple’s lucrative projects to date

This project is the latest addition to the Sussexes’ joint CV. In March, the Duke was appointed “chief impact officer” at Betterup, a start-up that provides mental health support on a phone app.

Last week, it was reported that its shares tripled in value to £3.7billion after the Duke joined the team.

He is also on the board of the Aspen Commission on Informatio­n Disorder. Neither employer has confirmed the financial terms.

The Duke’s memoir, due to be published next year, is rumoured to be a $20 million (£14.7 million) deal. In 2020, the Duchess invested in Clevr Blends, a start-up that makes instant oat milk lattes.

The couple have also signed multi-million pound deals with Netflix and

Spotify. In addition, the Duchess is making a series about women in history, while the Duke is producing a documentar­y on the Invictus Games. Their Archewell Audio project has, so far, produced a podcast in which their famous friends shared messages of hope in lockdown.

In July 2020, it emerged the couple had signed to speaking firm the Harry Walker Agency, allowing them to make paid-for appearance­s. The Duchess has also written children’s book,
