EARLY MEETING
I understand that the French Government has already sounded London as to the manner in which, and the body by whom, such work can best be performed. Paris favours, on the whole, the commissioning of the Ambassadors’ Conference for this purpose. London would rather await the full report of the League Council before expressing any definite view on the subject. But it is felt that an early meeting of the Supreme Council is virtually essential, in order that the League’s recommendation may be formally ratified, and the necessary instructions issued to the various executive and consultative bodies entrusted with the business of carrying out the Supreme Council’s decrees.
