Youtube in ‘outrageous attack on free speech’
David Davis has accused Youtube of perpetrating “an outrageous attack on free speech” after it deleted a video of him criticising vaccine passports.
The former cabinet minister warned tech giants are now “silencing” voices that challenge “conventional wisdom”.
His comments come after the video-sharing site took down footage of him speaking at an event for the civil rights group Big Brother Watch at last week’s Conservative Party conference.
He has previously raised concerns that covid passports “discriminate” against vaccine-hesitant communities.
In the deleted speech, Mr Davis warned that domestic vaccine passports were “illiberal”.
