Cafe scraps deal after rudeness from OAPS

-

A seafood café has scrapped a special deal for pensioners because of abuse shown towards waiting staff from impatient elderly diners.

The “silver surfers” promotion at the Hive Beach Cafe in Bridport, Dorset, entitled anyone aged 55 and over to a three-course meal for just £15 a head.

But the fish and chips deal proved so popular it often led to people queuing out of the door.

The length of time seasoned diners were being made to wait for a table brought out the worst in some “nasty and rude” pensioners.

Lou Fell, a waitress, said: “Our elderly customers have been especially rude.”
