IAG’S finance chief steps down

The finance chief of British Airways’ owner has quit two years into his role. Steve Gunning joined the firm more than 20 years ago, before it became IAG in 2011, now BA’S parent. He was made finance chief in 2019, and will be succeeded by Nicholas Cadbury, who joins from Whitbread, where he is group finance director. Mr Gunning said it was the “right time to seek a new challenge”.
