Astrazenec­a factory bomb hoaxer jailed

A hoaxer “obsessed” with Covid has been jailed for 27 months after sending a suspicious package to a jab factory.

As a result, production of the Oxfordastr­azeneca jab at the Wrexham site was halted, causing “mayhem”.

Anthony Collins, 54, from Kent, appeared at Maidstone Crown Court after being found guilty of posting an article to induce the belief the package was likely to explode. He also sent similar parcels to 10 Downing Street and a laboratory in Wuhan, China.
