Mr Andrew Bailey (Governor of the Bank of England) was received by The Queen today. Lieutenant Colonel John Kaye was received by The Queen this afternoon and delivered up his Stick of Office upon relinquish­ing his appointmen­t as Lieutenant of Her Majesty’s Body Guard of the Honourable Corps of Gentlemen at Arms. The Rt Hon Boris Johnson, MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury), had an audience of The Queen via telephone this evening.

The Prince of Wales, Patron, this evening gave a Reception at Sandringha­m House to mark the Forty Fifth Anniversar­y of the Norfolk Churches Trust. The Duchess of Cornwall, Colonel-in-chief, this evening attended the Biennial Rifles’ Awards Dinner at Guildhall, London EC2.

The Duke of Cambridge, Patron, Flora and Fauna Internatio­nal, this evening attended a Dinner at Oswald’s, 25 Albemarle Street, London, W1. The Duchess of Cambridge, Joint Patron, the Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, this morning visited Nower Hill High School, George V Avenue, Pinner, Middlesex, and joined a science lesson on the importance of early childhood developmen­t created and led by the Secondary Education around Early Neurodevel­opment project. Her Royal Highness, Joint Patron, the Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, afterwards met participan­ts of a Secondary Education around Early Neurodevel­opment Roundtable at Buckingham Palace.

The Princess Royal, Patron, Moredun Foundation, this afternoon attended a Conference at Moredun Research Institute, Pentlands Science Park, Bush Loan, Penicuik, on the occasion of its Centenary and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-lieutenant of Midlothian (Lieutenant Colonel Richard Callander). Her Royal Highness, President, the Smeatonian Society of Civil Engineers, this evening chaired the Annual General Meeting and attended a Dinner at One Great George Street, London SW1.
