By command of The Queen, Mr Alistair Harrison (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon His Excellency Mr Edil Baisalov at 119 Crawford Street, London W1, this afternoon in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquish­ing his appointmen­t as Ambassador from the Kyrgyz Republic to the Court of St James’s.

The Earl of Wessex this morning visited the Police Control Room, Vickery Building, Hampshire Constabula­ry Support Headquarte­rs and Training School, Hamble Lane, Hamble, to mark the Twentieth Anniversar­y and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-lieutenant of Hampshire (Mr Nigel Atkinson). His Royal Highness, Patron, Northern Ballet, this afternoon attended a performanc­e of Merlin at the Mayflower Theatre, Commercial Road, Southampto­n, and was received by Rear Admiral Iain Henderson (Vice Lordlieute­nant of Hampshire).

The Princess Royal, Patron, SS Great Britain Trust, this morning visited SS Great Britain, Gas Ferry Road, Great Western Dockyard, Bristol, and presented Future Brunels Graduation Awards, having been received by Her Majesty’s Lord-lieutenant of the County and City of Bristol (Mrs Peaches Golding). Her Royal Highness, Patron, Townswomen’s Guilds, this afternoon attended a Carol Service in Bristol Cathedral.

KENSINGTON PALACE December 3rd

The Duke of Gloucester, Grand Prior, the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem, this afternoon received Professor Mark Compton (Lord Prior).
