The Lord Robertson of Port Ellen was received by The Queen today via video link and delivered up his Gold Badge and Chain upon relinquish­ing his appointmen­t as Chancellor of the Most Distinguis­hed Order of St Michael and St George.

The Baroness Ashton of Upholland was received by The Queen via video link upon relinquish­ing her appointmen­t as King of Arms of the Most Distinguis­hed Order of St Michael and St George and delivered up to Her Majesty the Insignia of Office.

The Queen handed to The Baroness Ashton of Upholland the Gold Badge and Chain upon her appointmen­t as Chancellor of the Most Distinguis­hed Order of St Michael and St George.

Sir Mark Lyall Grant was received by The Queen via video link when Her Majesty handed to him the Insignia of Office upon his appointmen­t as King of Arms of the Most Distinguis­hed Order of St Michael and St George.

Mr Thomas Trotter was received by The Queen when Her Majesty presented him with The Queen’s Medal for Music.

Ms Judith Weir (Master of The Queen’s Music) was present.

The Rt Hon Boris Johnson, MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury), had an audience of Her Majesty via telephone this evening.

The Prince of Wales, on behalf of The Queen, held an Investitur­e at Windsor Castle this morning.

The Princess Royal, on behalf of Her Majesty, held an Investitur­e at Windsor Castle this afternoon.

The Prince of Wales this afternoon joined a Trustees’ Meeting at Clarence House for The Prince of Wales’s Charitable Foundation.

His Royal Highness, on behalf of The Queen, this afternoon gave a Reception at St James’s Palace and presented the Queen Elizabeth Prize for Engineerin­g.

The Duchess of Cornwall, Patron, this afternoon visited Royal Trinity Hospice, 30 Clapham Common North Side, London SW4, and was received by the Reverend Canon Dr Flora Winfield (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

Duchess of Cambridge, as Patron of the Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, this afternoon held a Carol Service in Westminste­r Abbey, London SW1.

The Duchess of Cambridge, Patron, National Portrait Gallery, this afternoon held a Meeting with Dr Nicholas Cullinan (Director) via telephone.

ST JAMES’S PALACE December 8th

The Earl of Wessex, Chancellor, this morning visited the Centre for Sustainabl­e and Circular Technologi­es at the University of Bath, Claverton Down, Bath, Somerset.

His Royal Highness, Chancellor, afterwards presided at Degree Congregati­ons at the University of Bath.

The Countess of Wessex, Patron, National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children, this morning attended a Meeting with European Non-government­al Organisati­ons at the Residence of Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium in Brussels.

Her Royal Highness later arrived at Heathrow Airport, London, from Belgium.

Mr Alexander Stonor was in attendance.
