Sir Roger Gale

The former vice-chairman of the party said “enough is enough” in an interview with ITV News on Wednesday. “A red line has been crossed, the information given at the Despatch Box was not correct.”

Douglas Ross The leader of the Scottish

Conservative Party is the most high-profile Tory who has demanded Boris Johnson’s resignation. “Regretfully, I have to say his position is no longer tenable... I don’t think he can continue as leader of the Conservatives.”

William Wragg The chairman of the public

affairs and constitutional affairs committee had previously railed against reports of parties in December.

At the time, he described Plan B coronavirus restrictions

– which he voted against – as a “diversionary tactic”. He told BBC Radio 4’s PM programme: “A series of unforced errors are deeply damaging to the perception of the party.

“The Prime Minister’s position is untenable.”

Caroline Nokes The former immigration minister said Boris Johnson did a “fantastic job” with his 2019 election landslide but had since become a “liability”. She told ITV’S Peston: “He either goes now or he goes in three years’ time at a general election. It is up to the party to decide which way round that is going to be. I know my thoughts are that he is damaging us now.”
