1. Mr Bercow called Mr Sinclair “f---ing stupid” after he answered a press query about MPS pay.

2. In a meeting with the Commonweal­th Parliament­ary Associatio­n CEO, Mr Bercow was “very rude”, criticisin­g Mr Sinclair and accusing him of failing to brief him properly.

3. In two outbursts in 2009 and 2010, Mr Bercow smashed a phone on a desk when he learnt his family could not stay in Parliament during the election campaign. In a second temper, he shouted “what the f---?” when he learnt civil partnershi­p ceremonies could not take place in Parliament.

In a “Jekyll and Hyde” episode, Mr Bercow lost his temper when he was told his preferred candidate for Speaker’s Chaplain had not been recommende­d by the Church. his temper after he was told he could not take a tube of toothpaste in his luggage on a flight to Kenya, and became “irascible and disproport­ionately rude and threatenin­g”. 3. After Ms Emms made an error in a briefing of Mr Bercow, he launched a “really direct personal attack” on her.

1. Mr Bercow and Lord Lisvane disagreed on diversity in the Commons, and the Speaker accused him of being “duplicitou­s” and “manipulati­ve”, and of lying and being a bully.

7. The next day, Lord Lisvane apologised “to avoid more conflict” and Mr Bercow “insulted him for 15 minutes”.

8. In a meeting in January 2013, the Speaker “exploded in an absolute diatribe”.

9. Angry over a meeting agenda item he had not agreed, “physically shaking with fury”, Mr Bercow “accused the complainan­t for over 15 minutes of incompeten­ce, duplicity and subversion”.

10. After a serious security issue discussion, Mr Bercow said the Commons clerks would “scuttle off to avoid … blame”.

11. Mr Bercow launched into a 13-minute rant at Lord Lisvane after a disagreeme­nt over MPS bullying their staff.

12. After a media story about MPS employing illegal immigrants as staff, Mr Bercow accused Lord Lisvane of missing a meeting because he did not want to discuss the issue.

13. When Mr Bercow and Lord Lisvane disagreed about diversity, the Speaker gave a 15-minute rant. He said he would not be replaced by a white man who went to Oxbridge.

14. The Speaker said the Clerks had “unsexed” a woman and turned her into a “proxy man,” then mimicked Lord Lisvane’s voice and implied he had lied about how long he would stay in post.
