Liverpool in command of European semi-final

Two quick-fire second-half goals left Liverpool in a commanding position after the first leg of their Champions League semi-final against Villarreal at Anfield. Jurgen Klopp’s side had to be patient after a goalless first half but the resilient visitors from Spain crumbled when a Jordan Henderson cross was deflected into the Villarreal net by their defender Estupinan on 53 minutes. The own goal was followed by a Sadio Mane strike two minutes later.
