Wildlife star Strachan beats elephant allergy

-

Michaela Strachan has revealed her hormones have changed so she no longer suffers from a bizarre allergy to elephants.

The BBC wildlife presenter used to have “really bad” reactions to the animals – especially when she was expecting her son 16 years ago when she was filming the Elephant Diaries show in Kenya. “I came up in a rash and my eyes looked like footballs,” the 56-year-old told Woman’s Weekly.

The Springwatch presenter now believes her hormones are changing again as she goes through the menopause, leaving her allergic to some plants but not elephants. “It’s crazy what hormones can do,” she said.
