Man arrested over double stabbing
A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after two people were stabbed.
Suffolk Police said officers were called to reports of an incident at a car park in Harland Court off Station Hill, Bury St Edmunds, at 3pm on Tuesday. Police found a man and a woman, both with stab wounds, inside a flat.
The man, in his 40s, was declared dead at the scene. The woman, also in her 40s, was taken to hospital, where she is in a critical but stable condition.
Police have arrested a 38-year-old man on suspicion of murder. The suspect, from Bury St Edmunds, was detained by officers in the vicinity of St John’s Street and is being questioned.
