Met officer accused of three additional rapes
The Metropolitan Police officer David Carrick has been charged with a further three counts of rape, the Crown Prosecution Service has said.
Carrick, 47, now faces a total of 44 alleged offences against 12 women between 2003 and 2020. He is due to stand trial later this year.
The charges include 21 counts of rape, nine counts of sexual assault, five counts of assault by penetration and three counts of coercive and controlling behaviour.
Carrick will appear at Westminster magistrates’ court on May 13.
