Triumphant catch

A kingfisher plucks a tiny fish out the reservoir at Rutland Water, near Peterborough. The picture was taken by Ralph Lightman, 42, an amateur nature photographer, from Wigan, Greater Manchester, who can spend up to eight hours in a hide waiting for the perfect shot.
