Jon Canter’s entertaining spoof biography of Richard Wilson returns for a sixth series, once again exploring elements of Wilson’s life that are almost – but not quite – true. In today’s opening episode, David Tennant has the misfortune to be visiting when Wilson experiences an overwhelming urge to reconnect with his Scottish roots by taking a trip back to his hometown of Greenock in Inverclyde. The only flies in the ointment are his lack of both transport and any companionship. But surely a fellow Scot with a car and a couple of days to spare would be happy to assist him as he carries out this small endeavour… wouldn’t he?
