Cab comfort

SIR – Having driven a black London taxi for more than 20 years, I must take issue with Virginia Ironside (Letters, May 13).

My current LEVC cab is the most user friendly I have ever had. It comes with a ramp, steps and a hearing loop. The handles are ideally placed for self-use or for when I help elderly or disabled passengers to get in and out. It also a hybrid, so mostly electric and silent. William Burt
