The partygate scandal is conspicuous by its absence in a new series about the Prime Minister’s handling of the pandemic, starring Sir Kenneth Branagh, below, as Boris Johnson. This England, to be televised later this year on Sky Atlantic, charts the pandemic response, but will not dramatise the parties in Downing Street. Sources said filming had already wrapped up by the time the parties came to light. Yesterday, a new trailer showed Sir Kenneth, 61, dressed as Mr Johnson and copying his mannerisms, left, alongside Ophelia Lovibond as Carrie Johnson.
