Admiral Sir Benjamin Key was received by The Queen today upon his appointmen­t as First Sea Lord and Chief of the Naval Staff.

The Rt Hon Boris Johnson, MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury), had an audience of Her Majesty this evening.

The Earl of Wessex, on behalf of The Queen, and The Countess of Wessex gave an Afternoon Party in the garden of Buckingham Palace.

The Duchess of Cambridge and Princess Alexandra, the Hon Lady Ogilvy were present.

Her Majesty’s Body Guard of the Honourable Corps of Gentlemen at Arms and The Queen’s Body Guard of the Yeomen of the Guard were on duty.

The Bands of the Welsh Guards and the Royal Air Force Regiment played selections of music during the afternoon.

The Queen was represente­d by the Hon Dame Annabel Whitehead (Lady in Waiting) at the Service of Thanksgivi­ng for the Life of Mr Anthony Barton which was held at St James’s Garlickhyt­he, Garlick Hill, London EC4, this morning.

The Baroness Scott of Bybrook (Baroness-in-waiting) was present at Heathrow Airport, London, this afternoon upon the Arrival of The President of the Republic of Colombia and welcomed His Excellency on behalf of Her Majesty.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall today undertook engagement­s in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

His Royal Highness, accompanie­d by Her Royal Highness, was this morning awarded the Order of Military Merit by the Governor-general of Canada (the Rt Hon Mary Simon) at Rideau Hall.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall afterwards visited the National War Memorial and attended a Wreath Laying Ceremony.

Their Royal Highnesses subsequent­ly visited the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall this afternoon visited Byward Market.

Their Royal Highnesses later visited Assumption School and were received by the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario (the Hon Elizabeth Dowdeswell).

The Prince of Wales, Honorary Commission­er, and The Duchess of Cornwall afterwards visited the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Stables and viewed the Musical Ride.

The Prince of Wales, President, The Prince’s Trust Canada, subsequent­ly attended a Reception at the Royal Canadian Geographic­al Society.

His Royal Highness later received the Rt Hon Justin Trudeau, MP (Prime Minister of Canada) at Rideau Hall.

The Prince of Wales afterwards attended a Sustainabl­e Finance Meeting at the John G. Diefenbake­r Building.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall this evening attended a Meeting with the Governor-general of Canada and Mr Whit Fraser at Rideau Hall.

Their Royal Highnesses afterwards attended a Platinum Jubilee Reception given by the Governor-general of Canada at Rideau Hall.

The Duke of Cambridge, Commodore-in-chief, Submarines, today unveiled a new Memorial at the National Memorial Arboretum, Croxall

Road, Alrewas, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-lieutenant of Staffordsh­ire (Mr Ian Dudson).

The Princess Royal, Patron, Transaid, this morning attended the Microlise Transport Conference at Coventry Building Society Arena, Judds Lane, Coventry, and was received by Mrs Louise Bennett (Deputy Lieutenant of West Midlands).

Her Royal Highness, Royal Patron, MND Scotland, this afternoon received Ms Rachel Maitland at Windsor Castle upon assuming her appointmen­t of Chief Executive Officer and Mr Adrian Murphy upon assuming his appointmen­t of Chairman.

The Princess Royal, Patron, Royal National Children’s Springboar­d Foundation, received Mr Robert Swannell upon relinquish­ing his appointmen­t as Chairman and Mr Nick Owen upon assuming the appointmen­t.

Her Royal Highness, President, the Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851, received Captain Nigel Williams upon relinquish­ing his appointmen­t as Secretary and Mr John Lavery upon assuming the appointmen­t.
