UK bans airlines from selling landing slots
Russian airlines have been banned from selling landing slots at British airports worth £50 million.
The Government said it was introducing the sanctions to prevent Russian state-owned Aeroflot, Ural Airlines and Rossiya Airlines from selling their unused landing slots at British airports.
“We’re making sure Russian [airlines] can’t cash in their lucrative landing slots at our airports,” Liz Truss, the Foreign Secretary, said.
