Directed in ingeniously disorientating fashion by Gideon Raff, whose Israeli series Prisoners of War was the primary influence for Homeland, this is a dense and multi-layered thriller set in Miami’s Hispanic community, which runs across dual timelines: the night of a beachside graduation party that ended with one of a half-dozen close friends dead, and the peaceful, cosseted lives of the surviving quintet two decades later. This latter calm doesn’t last long, as each of the friends receives
an anonymous message that threatens to go public with the shocking truth about that night. Oscar nominees Rosie Perez (Fearless) and Marina de Tavira (Roma) lead the cast.
