Woman arrested after baby falls from window

A woman has been arrested after a two-year-old boy fell out of a second-storey window.

Police said the child did not suffer life-threatening or life-changing injuries, in Leicester, on Saturday.

East Midlands Ambulance Service were called to a flat around 4.30pm.

The police said: “The boy was taken to hospital. A 23-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of neglect. She remains in police custody.

“Officers remain at the scene carrying out enquiries to establish the full circumstances of the incident.

“Officers are appealing to anyone with any information to get in touch.”
