Everard killer denies indecent exposures

Sarah Everard’s killer Wayne Couzens has pleaded not guilty to a string of indecent exposure offences.

Couzens, 49, is serving a whole-life sentence for the kidnap, rape and murder of the 33-year-old marketing executive in March last year, when he was a Metropolitan Police officer.

Four incidents of alleged indecent exposure are said to have taken place earlier that year in Swanley, Kent.

Couzens, from Deal in Kent, yesterday appeared at the Old Bailey by video link from Frankland prison in Durham.

A trial date has not yet been set, but further hearings are due at the Old Bailey over three days from Nov 1.
