‘Prostitute’ detective sold £150 threesomes
A DETECTIVE who offered threesomes at his house for £150 called his force “prudish” and said his actions were part of his “sexual identity”, a tribunal heard yesterday.
Nicholas Taylor, from Telford, Shropshire, quit his job as a detective constable before being sacked by West Midlands Police.
The ex-officer told a misconduct hearing his behaviour should be acceptable in modern society, and his activities were “an expression of his sexual identity”.
Taylor, who is in his early 40s, said his force took an over-cautious and “prudish” approach. He was found guilty of gross misconduct yesterday for offering “sexual services from his home for money”, including “threesomes”.
He and his partner Eleanor Turner, in her late 20s, advertised online to meet men for sex for payment.
In November 2020, The Sun reported that the officer was offering threesomes for £150 an hour via an adult website. The force’s professional standards department began an investigation after this, and Taylor was taken off public-facing duties. He later resigned, and his last day with the force was Tuesday.
Harry Ireland, the disciplinary panel chairman, said Taylor’s misconduct was a deliberate act “akin to a criminal offence” with the former detective “acting as a prostitute”.
