Bloodshed in the US

sir – I despair of America and the country’s Davy Crockett gun laws (“Nineteen children and two adults killed in Texas elementary school shooting”, report, May 25).

Is it conceivable that Joe Biden could take on the National Rifle Association and put a stop to this bloodshed? He would earn a place in history.
