Former world champion boxer denies assault

David Haye, 41, the former world champion boxer, was yesterday charged with assaulting a man at a concert in London.

The case will be tried at crown court after Haye denied attacking Nickesh Jhala at the Hammersmith Apollo in west London on October 30.

Westminster magistrates granted Haye, who faces one count of assault by beating, unconditional bail.
