The Scottish Bridge Union holds national online matchpoint pairs events in the evening on most Tuesdays and Saturdays, writes Julian Pottage, Bridge Correspondent.
Traditional movements and scoring are in use on the Tuesday sessions, while the Saturday sessions are Swiss Pairs with pairs playing others with similar scores.
The highest score on a Tuesday in May was 68.56%, achieved by Jeremy Smee from Canada and Wieslaw from Poland on the 24th. The highest score on a Saturday Swiss in May was 66.07%, achieved by Martin Diamond and Steve Male on the 14th.
The SBU also holds a Bronze Brunch pairs earlier on a Saturday, and the highest score in these sessions in May was 67.56%, achieved by Patsy and John Allen on the 28th.
