Motown star Ross accused of miming at Platinum Party
THE BBC has denied viewers’ claims that Diana Ross was miming during her performance at the Platinum Party at the Palace.
The Motown great closed the show at Buckingham Palace on Saturday night.
Some viewers watching on BBC One singled out a moment in which Ms Ross blew kisses at the crowd, but her vocals appeared to continue.
To audience members at the Palace, the star’s vocals appeared out of tune during her first song, Chain Reaction, yet they were perfectly in tune on the television broadcast.
However, a spokesman for BBC Studios, which produced the show, said: “Ms Ross sang live throughout her performance and was also supported by backing vocals and a live orchestra and choir.”
