Depp curries favour with £50,000 bill and big tip

Johnny Depp splashed out £50,000 at a curry house in Birmingham as he celebrated his courtroom win.

The Hollywood star is touring the UK with Jeff Beck, 77, a British guitarist, and the pair were joined by other friends at Varanasi in Broad Street on Sunday night.

Depp won $10million in damages for defamation from Amber Heard, his ex-wife, on Wednesday.

He has since joined Beck’s tour of the UK that was due in York last night.

Mohammed Hussain, 38, Varanasi’s owner, said the 58-year-old actor enjoyed the food so much he ordered the same again, took it back to his hotel room and left a “large tip”.
