D-day remembered

The 78th anniversary of Operation Overlord, when Allied forces landed on Normandy’s beaches to begin the liberation of Europe, was marked yesterday at the British Normandy Memorial, in Ver-sur-mer, France. Joe Cattini, a 99-year-old veteran, was among those to attend.
