THE ROYAL SCOTS CLUB, EDINBURGH The Royal Scots Club, Edinburgh, held a reception on Saturday in Queen Street Gardens East, Edinburgh, in honour of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. The Lowland Band, 6 SCOTS, Beat Retreat on Abercromby Place and the Lord Provost and Lord-lieutenant for Edinburgh, Councillor Robert Aldridge, took the salute. Sqn Ldr Graeme Lyall presided at a gala buffet held afterwards at the Club. Rear-adml Neil Rankin, Major Gen Bob Bruce, Brig George Lowder, Col Piers Strudwick, Lt Col James Anderson, Lt Col David Jack, Lt-cdr Dairmid Gunn, Major Guy Richardson, and Prof David Purdie were among others present.
