The Midwich Cuckoos

The tension continues to slowly develop as Susannah (Keeley Hawes) faces the emerging consequences of the blackout in Midwich with a sense of appropriate foreboding that is, rather surprisingly, not shared by all in the town. David Farr’s intelligent update of John Wyndham’s classic novel deepens and begins to darken in a perfectly eerie and most agreeable way.
