It’s time for a marmalade comeback in cafés

SIR – Now that both the Queen and Paddington Bear have endorsed marmalade sandwiches at the Platinum Party at the Palace (Letters, June 7), please would local cafés start stocking some?

I have lost count of the number of times I have asked for toast and marmalade, only to be met with a blank face and an offer of overly sweet strawberry jam – or the horror of a blueberry muffin.
