Southgate: I won’t outstay my welcome

Gareth Southgate has said he will not go on too long as England manager as he reacted to criticism over his tactics and team selection. England face Italy, to whom they lost in the European Championships final last year, in a Nations League match today, and Southgate said he understood that fans wanted to see attacking football. He added: “I won’t outstay my welcome but I think I can do a good job for the team and I think we’ve done a good job for the team.”
