Play starts tomorrow and continues until Wednesday, June 22, in the European Teams Championships in Funchal, Madeira, writes Julian Pottage, Bridge Correspondent.

There will be four competitions: Open, Women, Seniors and Mixed. England and Ireland (combined team for North and South) have entered a team in each of the four categories. Scotland has entered Open, Seniors and Mixed teams, but Wales has only entered an Open team.

Play in the Open Teams starts tomorrow and play in the Women, Seniors and Mixed categories starts on Thursday, June 16.
