Murder arrest after 60-year-old hit by car
A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after the death of a 60-yearold who was struck by a car.
The victim, who has been identified as Robert Duggan, was found seriously injured in the road after police were called to reports of a disturbance in Axe Close, Luton, at about 9.05am on Saturday. He was later pronounced dead at the scene.
Bedfordshire Police said a man in his 50s was arrested on suspicion of murder and remained in police custody for questioning.
Det Insp Iain Macpherson said police were “carrying out numerous lines of enquiry”.
