Ex-man United chief in talks to buy Everton
Peter Kenyon, the former Manchester United and Chelsea chief executive, is fronting a consortium that has entered talks to try to buy Everton. Mr Kenyon is part of a consortium of businessmen that includes the real estate tycoon Maciek Kaminski and American executive John Thornton. The talks are described as being at a “relatively early stage” with Farhad Moshiri, Everton’s owner, believed to value the club in excess of £500million, taking into account debt. Sport, page 1
