AJ Bell founder to step down as chief

Andy Bell is stepping down as chief executive of investment platform AJ Bell, which he co-founded with Nicholas Littlefair in 1995. Mr Bell will be succeeded by Michael Summersgill, who is currently his deputy and chief financial officer. Mr Bell will become deputy chairman. AJ Bell has enjoyed strong growth during the pandemic amid a rise in retail investing.
