Three in hospital after Cardiff chemical leak

Three people have been taken to hospital after a chemical leak at a port in Cardiff Bay yesterday.

Residents living close to Queen Alexandra Docks have been told to keep their doors and windows closed.

Police, fire and ambulance crews arrived at the scene shortly after 11am. A police spokesman said: “South Wales Police were called to reports of a chemical leak on Queen Alexandra Dock, Butetown. The fire service have dealt with the incident. Three people have been taken to hospital as a precaution. Please avoid the area and keep windows and doors shut if you are in the area.”
