Tenacious tenants
sir – Tony Hill (Letters, June 18) highlights that the effective way to evict “at-fault” tenants is to use “no-fault” legislation.
I had a tenant who dealt drugs, pulled a knife on the police and didn’t pay his rent. Legal advice was that he could be evicted on a “no-fault” basis in two months or “at fault” in maybe a year. The choice was obvious.
The term “no-fault eviction” is one of the greatest misnomers of our time. Janet Bartholomew Henley-on-thames, Oxfordshire
