Father ran over his daughter in fit of anger

A father who twice ran over his daughter with his car, crushing her to death while “consumed with anger”, has been found guilty of her murder.

Nigel Malt, 44, ran over Lauren Malt, 19, outside the home in West Winch, Norfolk, where she lived with her mother and siblings on January 23 this year. Andrew Jackson, prosecuting, told jurors at Norwich Crown Court that Malt, who was estranged from his wife and children, argued with Ms Malt before he “reversed his car into and knocked over his daughter”.

Mr Jackson added: “He reversed his car over her ... then he drove the car forward again over her body.”

Malt will be sentenced next month.
