Elderly man beat woman to death in cargo crate

A man who beat a vulnerable young woman to death and buried her body in woods has been found guilty of murder by a jury at the Old Bailey.

Necolai Paizan, 64, struck Agnes Dora Akom at least 20 times over the head with a power tool inside a converted shipping container during the attack in Brent, north-west London, on May 9 last year. He later moved her to Neasden Recreation Ground and then buried her in woodland.

Judge Richard Marks QC adjourned sentencing until Monday.
