The London Congress has taken place at the Young Chelsea Bridge Club, writes Julian Pottage, Bridge Correspondent, and the winners are as follows:

Pairs: 1st Gad Chadha and Stephen Lee, 110 VPS; 2nd Nathan Piper and Martin Lerner, 101 VPS; and 3rd Imogen La Chappelle and Henry Rose, 96 VPS.

Leighton, a leading figure for many years in the bridge world in Essex and London, has died aged 92. He was a recipient of the EBU Silver Award in 2011 following a nomination by the London Metropolitan Bridge Association in recognition of his truly exceptional services to the county and to bridge. Cecil was also awarded a Dimmie Fleming Award in 1992.
