Len Wiseman’s film reinvigorated the ageing Die Hard formula. The world has changed a lot since tough New York cop John Mcclane (Bruce Willis) was last called upon. Crime takes place on computers, not skyscrapers on Christmas Eve, so Mcclane needs the help of a bright young hacker (Justin Long) to save America, though still finds time for a full helping of action.
