Show of hands

An aerial view of families and friends of the victims of the collapse of the Corrego do Feijao dam of mining company Vale, giving a symbolic hug to French artist Saype’s tribute artwork in the local football field in Brumadinho, in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais. Some 270 people died as a result of the 2019 catastrophe. Brumadinho is one of the 30 cities taking part in Saype’s global project Beyond Walls, showing interlaced hands as a sign of unity.
