Courts strikes suspended after improved pay offer

-

Strikes planned by courts staff have been suspended after a new pay offer.

Members of the Public and Commercial Services union (PCS) employed by OCS were due to take industrial action on July 29 and on August 2, 3 and 4.

The union said the new offer included an hourly rate of £9.85 for security officers, £10.35 for area relief officers and £10.85 for supervisors as well as a one-off payment of £125 for all employees.

PCS national officer Andrew Lloyd said: “The improved pay offer is a significant win for our members.”

The PCS will now arrange a membership ballot on the offer.
